We can rework a difficult room layout, source key furnishings and décor to finish a room that’s not quite right, look for lighting and window treatment options and even plan out custom built-ins.

And if you think one day won’t be enough, you can always book a second day and we can really hit it out of the park!

Step 1 Book a complimentary Discovery Call to see if your goals are a good fit for this Design Service.

Step 2 Decide on available dates with Esther for your prep call and in-home session. You’ll receive an agreement and invoice to lock it in.

Step 3 Fill out the questionnaire you receive in your email and provide some photos of your space. This will help our video prep call stay focused and make sure we have a clear plan for your session.

Step 4 Your Designer for a Day session! Plan for a great and full day of dreaming, designing, planning and decision making for your home.

Step 5 You’ll receive your follow up report including all our notes, sketches, links and next steps. And don’t forget to schedule your hour-long follow up call to make sure your vision becomes reality.

What can I expect to accomplish during our 6 hours together? As long as we plan out our session and stay focused we can accomplish a whole lot together! This is the goal of our Discovery and Prep calls, so let’s talk and make sure our goals and expectations are in alignment.

Can my friend/mom/neighbor join us? I love her eye for design and would appreciate her input. Anyone who lives with you and is a decision maker along with you (for example a spouse or partner) is encouraged to join us, but I respectfully ask that you refrain from inviting other guests to our session.

Are drawings included? Sometimes. Depending on your project and what our goals for your session are you may receive sketches or diagrams of things we worked on. The drawings are generally not to be used for construction, but can be given to an architect, kitchen designer, workroom or draftsperson for official production.

Can you place orders or coordinate workers for me? Designer for a Day is for a client with a DIY attitude. We’ll come up with a plan that you can action yourself, but if you’re looking for a more inclusive Design Service, you may want to consider Furnishings & Décor or Full Service Design.

What if we run out of time? Our Prep Call will help us set an agenda so we can prioritize our hours together to achieve as many of your design goals as possible. But, if you feel like there’s a lot more you’d like to accomplish you can consider booking a second Designer for a Day session.

What if I need to reschedule? There is a 48-hour cancellation policy, except in the case of illness or emergency. Please see the agreement for full details.
